RecipeWallet Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Hickling Media Limited, a company registered in Jersey (155666, registered office: Roche Banque, La Grande Route De La Cote, St. Clement, Jersey, JE2 6SD) (“RecipeWallet”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They cover your use of the RecipeWallet app and website (together, the “Service”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who can use RecipeWallet
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are 18 or over.
2. Your account
To use most features, you’ll need an account. When you create one, you agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date.
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly at bill@foodinfivemins.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
You can delete your account at any time from within the Service.
3. Using the Service
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You agree not to:
use the Service for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes someone else’s rights;
copy, scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content or data from the Service using bots or automated means;
reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where the law allows;
resell, rent, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit the Service; or
interfere with or disrupt the Service or the security of it.
4. Your content
“Your Content” means the recipes, notes, photos and other material you save, create or upload using the Service.
You keep ownership of Your Content. To run the Service for you, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and process Your Content — but only as needed to provide and operate the Service for you, including carrying out any sharing you choose to do. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where we need to retain it briefly for backups, security or legal reasons.
You’re responsible for Your Content. By saving or sharing it, you confirm you have the right to do so and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.
5. Recipes, allergens and nutrition
Recipes on the Service are saved or supplied by users, including you. We don’t independently check, verify or test them.
Nothing in the Service is professional dietary, nutritional, medical or allergen advice. You are responsible for checking ingredients and allergens before cooking or eating anything, especially if you or anyone you’re cooking for has an allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — including the RecipeWallet name, logo, design, software and content we provide — belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms don’t give you any rights in it beyond using the Service as set out here.
7. Subscriptions and payments
The Service offers free and paid (“premium”) features. If you buy a premium subscription:
billing is handled through the relevant app store or our third-party payment provider, under their terms;
subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date;
you can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account or as described in the Service; and
refunds are handled in line with the app store’s policy and any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
8. Third-party links and content
The Service may link to third-party websites or content. We don’t control these and aren’t responsible for them. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Availability and changes
We may update, change or suspend the Service (in whole or in part) from time to time. We’ll try to avoid disruption, but we don’t guarantee the Service will always be available or uninterrupted.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we don’t make warranties that it will be error-free, secure or always available.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t legally be excluded.
11. Our liability
To the extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, lost profits or loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it can’t legally be limited or excluded — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
12. Ending these Terms
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that’s unlawful or harmful to others or to us.
When these Terms end, your right to use the Service stops. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as those on Your Content licence, intellectual property, disclaimers and liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know, for example through the Service or by email. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey. You may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live, and nothing here removes those rights.
